October 7, 2022: Where To Travel/CSWX Progress Report

Good afternoon, areas of northern Minnesota/Wisconsin and UP of Michigan are peaking with some locations beginning to move past their peak. Now is the time to view the beauty of fall colors if you are in these areas! Within a week the peak should spread to areas currently near peak as indicated in the orange area (central MN/WI, northern lower MI). Down here across the local CSWX area in northeast Illinois, fall colors are continuing to progress with 25-40% color in the area as the map indicates. My real leaf peeping adventures are starting pretty soon but for now enjoy the scattered fall color that is going on here, and those in the peak areas should go out to enjoy the show now! Local peak color should be Oct 19-26. -TW
