September 24, 2022: 1st Annual Fall Foliage Seasonal Blog

Welcome to our 2022 fall foliage season! The colors have started in the Northern Tier of the US with some (20-40%) to moderate (40-70%) color near the Canada border! Peak will likely be falling at a similar time as last year across these areas, however the cool temperatures forecasted during the next week should allow the fall foliage to progress rapidly and expand southward through October! Our CSWX area (Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Will) is getting very close to the brighter colors on the map with just maybe a few leaves starting to change here.
